Dear Dutch colleagues of primary education, we represent a primary school of Thessaloniki, Greece and our aim is to develop a Comenius Project next year (2010) focused on philosophy for kids and especially on values that kids should be taught through stories and philosophical conversations. We would like as a partner a Dutch school as we understand that you have already the experience of doing philosophy inside your classes. Maybe some of you would like to take part to a Comenius Project next year. Please feel free to contact me for further details. There is something else. As I am looking for sources in the web I discovered Danish philosopher Per Jespersen's site, that maybe some of you might know. His site could be extremely helpful and maybe he could help us to prepare the project. He is a specialist in doing philosophy with kids as I understood so far and we intend to ask for his guidance. If anyone of you is interested in our Project he/she is mostly welcome to contact us and be our partner. The time until next year is too much so we could prepare something really good! Besides, philosophy is one of the classes kids in Europe should definitely have in our times don't you agree? Warm regards from Thessaloniki, Greece Makris Nikolaos nikomakris@me.com

I have started a project which is similar to the Eurovision Song Contest, called Schoolovision. It's for primary schools, and needs one school from each country to choose a song, sing it and video it, then upload it to the project blog in May. All countries then view the videos and vote for their favourites. The country with the most votes will win. I already have almost all eTwinning countries signed up- but I don't have a school from the Netherlands, despite writing to many that are listed on the portal. Can you advise me of any possibles that I could contact please, that might be interested? Full details of the project are at http://schoolovision2009.blogspot.com Best wishes, Michael
